Legacy Projects

What do you want to leave for the ones you love or the next generation? Legacy work is a beautiful way of preserving memories, history, wisdom, and so much more. Whether you choose a traditional project (see more on the legacy page) or want to collaborate on something special, I would be honored to share this experience with you.

Education & Community

At the heart of CICADA lies the desire to educate, connect, and advocate for death equity in our communities. If you are interested in a training, speaking event, community gathering, or want help diving into death equity advocacy work- let’s talk!

Celebrant or Doula Services

Celebrants oversee memorial services, funerals, and other End-of-Life rituals and ceremonies. I am ordained through the Universal Life Church, but serve as a non-religious affiliated celebrant. All are welcome, all are loved.

NEDA proficient End-of-Life doulas help support and advocate for terminally ill patients throughout the dying process. Sometimes, we cannot die exactly how we want, but we can still have a beautiful experience. Doulas also support families and loved ones by providing respite care, planning assistance, referral help, and more.

Hello! My name is Brittany. I am a nonreligious celebrant, death educator, & NEDA proficient End-of-Life Doula. I have a BS in Psychology and am joyfully about to graduate with my MS in Social Sciences, specializing in end-of-life education and equity. I am an active hospice volunteer and enthusiastic member of the Chattanooga Death Collective.

Head on over to the ABOUT page to learn more about my story, background, and the work I am doing through CICADA!
